staff have a hdd western digital scorpio blue Model: WD3200BEVT-00A03T0 320 gb and it worked perfectly on my notebook.

suddenly it crashed and restarted the notebook and no longer worked.

it does not appear over the name or model or capacity hdd shows as if he had 0 mb.

there are more serial or model in your bios.

from what I read on the internet he erased the track zero, because it is stored the information of the hardware.

not found the firmware for WD3200BEVT-00A03T0 hddguru site, need a dump track zero, or the firmware hd and a how to on how to restore

awaiting.

Choosing an internet based solution from a source that lacks credibility can be lots of trouble in the data recovery/refurbishing industry.
It can make matters worse and potentially to never ever have access to anything again.

The drive does not have a "hardware track" related problem as you are suspecting.

A drive's firmware can't change, as no conventional hardware or software can access it. Special tools are needed to cause a change and the average person does not know how to do that.

The problem with the drive is elsewhere. Likely related to internal mechanics in some way or another. "Suddenly..." as you described is strongly favoring this theory.

Need more solid testing to narrow down the possibilities. If data are important, then pro help is the best course of action. If not, then I suggest you start reading here on the forum the newbies section to further understand the inner workings of the HDD and then search on what tools can be used to run some basic tests.

Best wishes

thanks for the help.

also agree that the path to zero be modified and need special software, however I find it strange because the hdd does not show any fault.

would meet any test which can efficiently test drive in these conditions?

Thank you.

This could be a PCB fault. Check internet for new pcb.
