Hi all!

So I am 99.9% sure this drive of mine has a blown TVS diode, and I just need help locating it so I can clip it, copy everything and junk it. I plugged a 19V laptop cable into it and upon realizing and trying the regular wire, it didn't power. Idiotically, I did the same to it's Seagate friend beside at the same time and was able to clip the TVS diode off that and copy everything off of it. I'd like to do the same with this rather than go directly to PCB board replace. Everything looks good on the PCB board, nothing burned, etc.

Thanks all!

Check D5, D6, R81 and R82 near the Molex power connector.

D6 and R82 are the 12V TVS diode and zero-ohm resistor, respectively.

If the diod is blown, more like it did, you can simply replace it with a new one from an old drive or buy one and the drive will work as normal, no need to bin it.
