 Post subject: MHDD .CFG file

Hi all i am try to see why this is happening i just want to learn how to use MHDD but i get this screen, dont know why, i was reading the DOC file from MHDD i did a search on .CFG but everytime the OP says "Ohh yeah i did it" but never actually say how they did it, the edit command says bad command or file name, I'm i missing something. I am on the dir C:\MHDD\CFG>

Any tips would be great Thank you.

Well, I started up MHDD last night and it told me I had one too? Im lucky but I cant find the dang thing!!? :-)

@Spildit,

In my experience MHDD shows that header (blue) line for port 100h even if there is no PC-3000 board in the PC. An entry would appear below that line if the board was physically present. It shows the same line on my laptop when booted from a normal MHDD boot disk, for example, and there is definitely no PC-3000 board installed ;)

Hmm so i cant see any drive cause of the mobo? Do i need to configure anything in the BIOS?

Yes - as discussed in may previous threads, MHDD often needs the SATA controller BIOS option set to IDE / Legacy / Compatibility / ATA (different BIOS call this setting different names), and there can be challenges of finding which SATA port is mapped by the BIOS to which old IDE port name. Those are the first things to investigate, when MHDD doesn't appear to recognise working drives.
