Hello everyone:

I have the following problem. 2 days ago, my external harddrive, a WD Elements 1TB, wouldn't let my open itself anymore, telling me it had a CRC error. In order to save the data on the drive before I would try formatting, I used HDD Raw Copy Tool to copy what was salvagable to another hard drive, an intenso Memory Point 2TB. Which worked like a charm, I can access most of my data, as far as I can tell.

However, Windows 7 now displays the Intenso drive as the WD one. Down to the 1TB less storage space. The real WD drive, on the other hand, isn't shown in my computer at all anymore. I know the programm says "exact copy", but does that really include appearantly changing drive size and name? Is this intentional? How do I access the remaining 1TB of my 2TB drive, preferably without tossing all of the data out of the window again.

I'm running Windows 7 Premium 64-bit SP1.

Would greatly appreciate any help you can give me. Having my data back and save is great, but missing a whole TB isn't really ;)

Because you cloned the disk it has cloned MBR and Partition properties, so on your 2TB HDD you have a 1TB partition. Simply make another partition at the unallocated space on your 2TB through computer management
