I saw a thread a month ago where Spildit tries to repair a WD HDD by using TEAMVIEWER and lastly the thread-starter decided to purchase bios programmer to repair the drive.

Can any one help me. As i am thinking to buy a BIOS PROGRAMMER to repair WDD HDDs

Have a look at the Willem programmers. And then look at the chips you would want to program, and make sure the chosen programmer supports them. You can get them on ebay, but be careful and look closely at what versions they are, as it gets pretty confusing with all the copies out there

Actually since i failed to repair some drive which i collected from various sources to get them repaired by WDR which most of the HDD gurus said "A good and capable WD HDD repair util" for reasons best known to HDDGURUS.

Now i have separated the hdd which have bios on the PCBs so that i can program the rom so that they can be repaired. Since i am fund-crunched, I have short-listed EZP2010 Bios programmer costing USD28 and soic 8 adoptor with cable costing usd12 for programming the same. All these HDDs are showing rom as XYZ___ when diagnosed with WDR.

Can you at least upload some resources so that we can see what you are talking about?

why not just search all his threads. That's what I would do. Click on his profile button->search threads
