i got IBM System X model: WD2502ABYS-23B7A0. When i connect to PC, it spins well(sounds fine and not click) but PC bios cannot detect it. it spins for while then stop. when i connect to imager(Deepspar), it also cannot detect. does anyone can tell me it's firmware or mechanical problem?

Could be either to be honest.

If you're 100% sure there are no unusual noises (like quiet ticking or "sweeping") then firmware is the more likely culprit.

You'll need pc3k or similar to solve that.

You need right tools to handle this drive.
Just by what you have posted no one can tell you whether its a FW or Mechanical or a Electronic Fault. Max you can confirm FW problem by ROM swap.

According to your description that's most likely either heads or SA problem.

And further remote diagnostics is more of a guessing, indeed.
