The drive is not useful for other PC. If you were closer I would give you a 500Gb drive after you smashed your old one with a hammer just put this to bed.

Do you really, really need that specific drive for any specific reason ?
Because i trully think that you are doing a BAD decision.
I really don't mind at all to unlock the drive for $40 but honestly i would advice you to get a new one instead.

Here at my country (Portugal) i charge 40 € for a brand new in package and sealed Western Digital drive with 500 GB (Blue Ones) ....

You are going to pay $40 USD to unlock a damaged drive with at least 2000 bad sectors ....

Well, it's your choice, but don't blame me if for some reason the drive end up dying on you sometime soon ...

Do you have any specific reason to keep that drive ? Maybe some software is locked to it's serial number ? Maybe you really need some data on it ? Can you please be honest ?

If you need the drive because of some software locking i might sell you a brand new drive with "edited" or patched firmware to serve your needs and you will be way better served then with a $40 USD unlock on a drive that is almost dying ....

Well, i will not say any more.

If you want to proceed with the unlock send me the payment to the address that you have recieved on PM and ship me the drive. I will unlock it for you and send it back by EMS prioritary mail.

Regards.

Agree, all sounds very suspicious.

Come on OP, tell us the TRUTH so we can try and help you!!

Better to get a new drive, of course !!!! This is what i've told all this time !!!!

Unlocking the seagate momentus = unlocking a damaged drive. Unless you have a good reason to unlock it (data inside or software locked to it) it doesn't make any sense !!!!

Want a discount, sure - instead of using EMS with tracking i can use normal mail for shipping the drive to you, AT YOUR RESPONSABILITY. I will charge let's say $15 USD to unlock that junk drive + shipping, let's say $12 USD .... so let's say $25 USD with regular mail shipping without tracking and can take 3 or 4 weeks for the drive to arrive to you,

Again, i'm only doing this because the drive is "crap" anyway and don't have any value at all, and will die anyway ......

Better buy a new drive.

But if you insist with the unlock and want a "cheaper" alternative i will do it at $25 but with cheaper mail service. If the drive gets lost in transit it will be your responsability. And i will send you proof of shipping. I strongly advice to use something like tracking and EMS .... but if you want to go cheap that is the lowest price that i can make, and believe me i don't like at all to do this sort of thing (send mail without tracking it).

Again buy a new drive.

If you insist with the unlock and want the cheaper option then send me the drive and i will do the unlocking .....

Regards.

Ok but the wd is in greats condition new or is refurbished??
