In this thread, 2nd post:
Quote:
Speak to pcimage on the forum, he has worked out a way to do these

In this thread, 3rd post:
Quote:
You should take the drive to a pro, so that he could analyze it at a lower level, and find out if the keys are still in place.

In this thread, 8th post:
Quote:
Yes thats right.
IMHO this case is beyond user abilities. You have to contact the nearest pro to help you. PCimage is your friend, he has a very good skills and reputation and he can do this for you for a reasonable price.

In this thread again:
Quote:
You need special knowledge and special equipment which cost a lot $.
If your data is worth something better use external help.

and again Einstein9 backs it up with his post.

advice includes contact pcimage and take it to a Pro who has the tools.
so I do not agree that it all points to being impossible. We all want cheap/free but sometimes we don't get what we want.
good luck

Oh, trust me, I am not one of those people that always wants it free and stuff, I pay what it costs. I am already speaking with PCimage and his price is ok and also one more good person that answered me here on the forum. Just the notion I got from reading the forum is that this is impossible even if this is what you do (I don't mean I to do it myself).

That good, Im glad you have some help.

I was pointing out the bits in the thread I thought were leads to a solution, or at least answers. If you have been around forums as long as I have you will notice the many many threads have 1 or 2 line post of the "please help me" or "me too" kind of flavour. These rarely help anyone quickly as you need to start asking what is tried already, then get a reply, then ask again clarifications, and it goes on from there.

A much better way is to state your issue, then state all the things you have tried, and the results, and all the places you have looked for answers and how. People that post like this as the first post tend to get many more helpers, and better quality helpers.

People have only the 2 lines of the post to go on when making all sorts of assumptions about the poster, and their problem. remember that what you think your problem is, and the cause could be quite wrong, so the other info is helpful to nut that out.

It wasn't directed at you about the free part, I love to fix things with free solutions anyway, but just that many people have an idea that there is a free solution, but the pros want to keep it all to themselves, or are too stuck up to give it out... I was trying to convey that that is not always the case, and the tools the pros have, and their knowledge is the only realist tools that will fix it.

Hope you get a solution and can share the details.

Cheers
