Make up your mind... are you using SD or ST ? 8)

Also, .12 is not .11 .... and m0,2 IS NOT SAFE for data depending on situation. So said....

I am using Stcom and give the command m0,2,2,,,,,22 for fix No HOST FIS-ReadyStatusFlags, the drive is not BSY now but give partial access, the data is not important, i read several post that speak abaut this:

Definition of Leonardo method:

1. Backup all modules, etc
2. Clear Altlist = Glist (i4,1,22)
3. Power off/on
4. Scan drive with MHDD or search manually with "Sector View", etc. STOP and RECORD (write on paper) FIRST PROBLEM LBA
5. Make sure drive add this LBA to Glist you can check it with V4 command
6. REGENERATE TRANSLATOR ---- BUT use command to USE AltList: m0,6,3,,,,,22
7. REPEAT #4 --> 6

This method not work in my case or i fail using it.Thank you for your help.

It seems unsafe for data to me, unless you want to "re-use" a drive.

you need special tools, forget about STcom (it does not work with F3 drives) and forget about Leonardo method.
I have tried in the past this tool and Leonardo method, i never had success with those. I have now professional tools to deal with defect list, translator, etc.

Congratulation Michael on acquiring Prof Tools, But what you have purchased.

If somone use non-Pro tolls then what is the best alternative. STCOM or Chinese tools

As i know, there isn't any downloadable tool that is able to fix NRG.
You have to use professional tool to fix this as PC3000 UDMA, Salvationdata HD Doctor, DFL or send the drive to someone which has one of those.
