Hi all,

What is the best repair tool such as repair firmware, access to G-List and P-List and etc (no Data Extract) for Hitachi and Toshiba HDD's?
PC3k, Sediv, DFL, SalvationData?
Which one?

PC3k is good tool, but have not any good support specially in Iran.
They see only money.
Meaning of best tool I think, tool with professional ability with good support and good challenge!

It shouldn't matter where you are located, their support team work in staggered shifts to accommodate time zones.

I find their support very good, to be honest.

Of course it's not cheap, but you asked for the best, not the cheapest :-)

I don't know about sediv, but DFL apparently has half decent support, but I have no experience with that product so cannot comment.

Forget salvation, their support is non-existent.

Well they are very good in Support regardless of ur location
BUT
do not expect a 1-2-3 guide/steps to solve ur problems when you contact them

whoever got their products started learning by himself and testing alot plus knowing exactly what to do and how

its like buying a car the 1st. time when the company where you bought ur car from are not responsible for your problems on the street if you get my point here

same case, same scenario

and wish u really a good luck

Hi
Sediv is the best software for Repairing of Seagate, Toshiba, Hitachi and specially WD hard disk.
DFL-WD and Seagate is in second number.
MRT Toshiba and Seagate utility is good. and it is also available without data extractor.
Pc3k not for repairing hdd, it is used in data recovery purpose.

For Data Recovery purpose Pc3k is first.
then MRT
and then DFL
Sediv not release data extractor till now, but possible in next 10 months.

For Recovery Atola is the best, than DDI
I think Sediv and MRT Pro must test with a different cases. those are new tools in this job.
How many people test them over the year and get near 80% and up success rate?

Many people have Sediv,
But only few people know about its functions, because no manual is written.

http://www.sediv.net/downloads_n_videos ... _wd_01.exe

But it is for repairing of WD drive till 2014 release.

I disagree, Because you have not any success proposal on Hitachi or Toshiba HDD's in hard cases!
If you want to show power of sediv software, I think set limited time trial and anyone can test it on different cases.
You have a plan like as SalvationData! They sell tools and nothing at this time!

I don't think that i need to show success proposal.

Software is a platform to repair problems. The solution is always come from the brain. which option need to use in which condition, this all things come from brain, not from software.

As in my previous Reply i mention already which tool is for what purpose.
Atola is also good for imaging.

I don't really understand the distinction.

Nobody is going to pay a data recovery professional to merely repair a HDD. AISI, a repair is a necessary precursor to a recovery, unless the problem is a purely logical one. Or are you saying that PC3K is the preferred tool where logical recoveries are involved?

The distinction is probably whether repair of a HDD is performed keeping user data intact (data recovery). Or whether the repair involves some kind of re-init, erasing user data (HDD recycling).

Basically this is the question of post owner. And i just reply his post, that which is best for repairing and which is best for data recovery.
