The tools look interesting, but I won't be buying.

Their past record for support stinks, so I would imagine the tools would be rendered next to useless pretty quickly. :-(

They have a new fifth generation stand alone imager for 2015 with an interface that looks like Data Compass (YUCK!). Meanwhile Data Compass hasn't been updated in several years.

This is how sad SD tools are. Look up eBay auction 171566718292.

The 5th generation has been combined by hd doctors and data compass as well as new 50 features added. It took 3yrs to develop the tool!
May be, during its development for last 3 years they forgot to update existing tools:)
Still a hope, may be they will take care to integrate the 50 new features of 5th gen to our existing 4th gen tools...

It does look interesting, but past experience makes us all leery. They should send a few demo units to a few skeptics, like me, and let us test the unit and give our honest feedback publicly.

...Flash Doctor...your money flashes away, right before your eyes. In exchange, you get a very light book end or an over sized key ring.

After all that they have done before, it will be terrible to get their reputation high again.
Only if they sold that tool very, very, very cheap to test and see if they have done decent job. Maybe then....

By the way, the forum is working here:

Considering the number of people celebrating their birthday today, it looks like quite a party they have there :)
