Hello ,
I Have a Old WD3200BMVV-11A9MS0 USB 2.0 Drive With Me .The Drive is Locked Using " Password That is Smartware Protection From WDC " . I Would Like To Use The Drive And Get Rid Of This Password .Data is Not Required At All .No Idea What Model External Family This Drive Was In

The option is right within the smartware software. I think you just have to type a wrong password enough times and it gives the option to secure wipe the drive and reset it.

To Be truthful i have never experimented with this .But what i will like to do eventually is Purchase Some SATA Boards And Then Convert this To Sata .Might be someone who has tried can shed some light
