 Post subject: ST31500541AS RAW AND A FEW CLICKS

This is very common error. My data is important.
How can i recover data? File systems is raw now.
And sectors cannot read.
and windows says " Wrong Parameter"..
You can see that picture.

Have to determine the points of failure first and then carry on with the appropriate solution(s). Need to test firmware, read-write mechanism, more than likely software imaging will fail. So, a lot of work and proper equipment needed to recover the data.

Given that it gives a "few clicks" there is a reasonable chance that one of the read/write heads has failed.

If this is the case and you continue to run the drive with a bad head in there, sooner or later (more likely sooner rather than later) it could well crash catastrophically, taking your data with it.

At least get it analysed by a DR pro before proceeding any further..

also running DR software on failing drive is not a good idea at all.
