I have a Seagate ST3000DM001 HDD that spin correctly reaches readiness but doesn't read Drive ID/Capacity...

I could access terminal and test heads ans SMART and everything seems OK.

I had the same problem that I resolved by the F3 T>m0,6,3,,,,,22 command in terminal.

When I tried this command in Terminal, it shows me Partition formatting OK but when I powred ON/OFF the drive, the drive stuck in BSY and when I try to access Terminal it can't and shows me "Terminal : reply timeout error"

I tired to short-cut the read channel, the drive produce a BEEP and stop spinning but steel I can't access Terminal.

Could you please help.

I followed the solution for "No HOST FIS-ReadyStatusFlags 0002A1A1" on PC3000 blog: http://blog.acelaboratory.com/pc-3000-h ... error.html

but unfortunately, in the end the drive reaches rediness and I can access Terminal but doesn't read drive ID :roll:


Any help please?

The issue was RESOLVED and I could read drive ID and access DATA.

I just closed the utility and re-opened it :D

did you clear only s.m.a.r.t, power cycle hard drive and re-enter utility ?
