I tried to desolder the Left TVS diode with my soldering iron but it was too difficult and I didn't wanted to risk destroying other components so I had no choice but to use a nail clipper to remove the diode.

The HDD is now working but the data is not read properly.

I used a generic enclosure to test the HDD... So I guess the HDD was encrypted... Is there a way for me to be able to make the date in the HDD readable?

Connect to an identical USB board from another WD enclosure.

Is the HDD really encrypted? I mean I didn't use any of the softwares included inside the HDD. Is there a possibility that the data has been slightly corrupted and just need some sort of software to fix?

I guess my question would be... how would I know if the files inside the HDD is encrypted or not? I don't want to buy or crack someone's WD MyBook enclosure without finding out first.

I tried using EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard Free and it was able to scan some files/folders in the HDD. I don't think this is a good way to recover my files but at least it's there... if there's just a method to just fix the MBR or something and make the HDD work like normal again.

The drive is not encrypted. Windows and EaseUS cannot understand the file system for the reasons that I explained in my earlier post, namely that the sector sizes do not match.

    465.75 gibibytes x 8 = 3726 gibibytes

Just buy another WD PCB from a 3TB+ My Book (not an Essentials), or hunt through your trash.

ok I just confirmed that the HDD is not encrypted. I used testdisk and was able to successfully copy files out of the HDD.

Warning: number of bytes per sector mismatches 4096 (NTFS) != 512 (HD)

I don't want to mess it up when I'm this close to making a 100% recovery. Can someone please guide me on how to change the sector size form 512 to 4096?

and how to correct the size boot_sector error.

Since I was able to extract the files inside the HDD with the testdisk, I'll just use the software to copy all the files I could get out of the HDD. Thank you so much for everyone's patience and help with this issue.
