hi,

for Samsung hard drive firmware problem, can I use serial communication to access and repair firmware like Seagate hard drive?

Access yes, repair likely not. Have to figure out what the problem is to have a better idea.

Spildit,
the problem is that the drive spins then stop (without clicking sound). it spins then stop while it is in the bsy state of the imager. is it firmware problem? can i do diagnostic and repair firmware by serial communication? if yes, how and what commands to be used.

Start with terminal output. Understanding problem first, thinking of solution second. This is fundamental.

What other details can be provided about drive and how it may have failed (customer opinion)?
