Hello,

I have a failed Fujitsu 320GB HDD, Firmware 00808909, board : CA26344-B33104BA, the problem started when i tried to hibernate on my laptop today, appeared blue screen, after hardware restarting of laptop, it shows no bootable device ...

i used an external hdd driver box and connected the failed hdd to another laptop through usb port, it still doesn't function.

i opened the hdd and saw :
the disk spins, the heads also move to disk center and return back to first place ( out of dick area ) again ... and this is repeated ... , but the main controller ic ( 88i6737-TFJ1 ) gets hot fast ! and the hdd is not recognized by pc ...
i think the main IC is damaged, thought to change the board and found :http://www.hddzone.com/fujitsu-pcb-ca26344b33104ba-p-511.html
but in the page, it says :
"Note: This PCB's BIOS is intergrated on the Main Controller IC. You should exchange the Main Controller IC to let the HDD be recognized."

so it means if i change the board and my first main controller IC be damaged, i can't fix the hdd to recover data ?!

is there any other way ?!!

Thanks & Regards.

99% head damage.
