So i shorted to ground E61 and E62 pins and connect RX and TX signals to TTL adapter, and my friend send to me The program for uploading internal ROM, similar to the U-command and done. I tried also PCB 701640-001(E61->P2), but this not work.

Hi!
What is the program name that used for uploading ROM content?
I have a similar problem, but with MRT Pro i can't upload ROM.
Thanks

Ok, thank you!
So please help me.
I have a WD 701906 PCB, and MRT Pro damaged the internal ROM (i don't know how) The PCB is worked on a WD5000BEVT-00A03T0 drive (Pluto).
My patient drive is a WD10TMVV-11A27S2 (Shasta) drive with head failure. I backed up the ROM content (i converted the USB board to SATA) and now i would like upload this drive ROM to donor PCB.
The question is, wich test points i have short, for upload ROM over TTL adapter with MRT Pro?
I tried short E61-E62-Ground, E47-Ground, P13-Ground, but no success.
Thanks for any help!

Try E62 connect to resistor 1K to 2,5V.

@saltwater, can you show us the component side of the PCB? There should be a group of configuration resistors, one of which determines whether the MCU should boot from an internal or external ROM. You can identify this resistor by comparing the MCUs of PCBs with internal and external ROMs.

Hi!
Thanks for replies!
fzabkar: Here it is a topic with a very similar problem, you may remember this, that using U12 chip will not works on this PCB:
https://forum.hddguru.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=32674&hilit=wd10tmvv

This is a component side of donor PCB:

Yes, now i know that MRT has this bug, i will never use this "feature" again, but as i see the U-Command tool (full version) could be good for this kind of issues, and i don't have a chance solving this problem with MRT crap tool. :-( Am i right?

This is the same situation like me. U12 not work, this Mcu is similar to the 8945. It only remains to wait for the upgrade.

Try connecting a 1K resistor between the pads I have identified as R74. If that doesn't work, then try each of the other three resistors one by one.
