Agree, would be better than dealing with the USB connector, those traces wont take much more

It looks doable to me!
You only have to connect 4x wires to use it in usb2 mode.

Ground should be obvious.
+5 volts
data line +
data line -

Looking at the current state of the pcb you need to find somebody with good soldering skills and equipment to do it for you.

Bravo for your all valuable comments. @mr_spokk @HaQue Surely i will go for PCB replacement as a very last resort. But really appreciate your input.
@dick (hope it wont offend you ;)) please see attached photo and suggest that, as per my research, the pin out mentioned is OK? Actually I am confused that why Pin#3 is showing continuity with ground coz as per standard this is the Data- not main GND. Any how if all that is OK than I will sold the USB 2.0 cable. and will keep you updated.
Waiting for your advice.

Sorry but that looks wrong to me!!!

Take a look at the original usb3 socket.
One side would take a standard phone type micro usb2 plug. The other side takes the extra usb3 connections.
Your pcb is messy but it appears to me the usb2 data + and data - connections would trace to R3 and R5.
Your choice of +5v looks wrong.

I think you need to find somebody to do this for you. I fear if you haven't already you are going to damage the pcb even more. I'm talking pyrotechnic effects here.

Why would you go any further with such damage...
If you like, you can send me the old Pcb, I swap the U12 to a functional board and return it to you.
And you are sure that the drive has not been dropped or similar? If so it will work 100%
