My Hard Drive is with some physical and logical problems and I'll send it to a DR company, the budget is free, however depending on the recovery price, I'll have to get it back and only then when I have money, I'll send my HD back to the DR.

Some people that working with DR, they said tom me that the chances of a data recovery the second chance after open the device is smaller?

This is true or they spoke this only to "scare" me and make me accept the DR price on time or maybe or perhaps to me don't find another Data Recovery companies and another prices?

The HD It'll open be a cleanroom, so what is the problem, If I can't pay for the DR price and I'll chosse to do the service after a while?

And during that time which would be the best way to store the HD?

Leave it stored in a antistatic plastic standing in a corner where nobody's is move and it won't not suffer any impact or fall is enough?

But if I can't pay fot the job after the budget and I have to wait a few months?

The next time the DR will have more success when trying to recover the data or no?

- I'll send for the same company;
- I'll not turn the HD there duting this time (It'll be an antistatic plastic where no one will mess);
- I know the diagnosis and the physical and logicals problems of HD and what will it take to recover the data.

The issue is pretty simple. Once someone has already attempted recovery, it becomes increasingly difficult to handle the case as you don't know what was already done (possibly what was screwed up). Or possibly the last company exhausted everything possible, and it's just a lost cause. That's why no one want's the "non-virgin" variety of cases.

What I do for my customers is I provide a quote that's good as long as the drive stays in my lab. If someone needs a couple months to save up, we'll keep it here until they are ready to proceed (within limits). I had one just approved today that's been here almost six months already.

If the customer takes the drive back, I tell them I just need to re-quote it. And if it returns I look carefully for any sign that someone else worked on it. I actually put a tamper-proof sticker over the center cover screw so I can tell. If I suspect foul play, then the price will likely be higher the second time around due to the possible unknown variables.

Some one already attempted to recover data for you, if you take the hard drive to DR professional they might take charge you for tempered hd. The previous dr professionals may have used all the tools and techniques on the hard disk to recover data.
you did not mention the status of the hard disk, is it working?
Go to reputed Data recovery company asap don't gamble with your data.
