Had my WD Caviar Black 500GB drive die on me. Initially the drive wouldn't even power on so I swapped out the main board, now I have power and disk is spinning up but weird clicking noise. I opened it up and took this video. Anyone have any ideas on whats going on with this?

Yes, likely the PCB is not compatible as is due to unique adaptives.
As far as opening the drive and running the without cover: good luck.

agreed,
this is very often that people first mess up and than ask on forums.
Opening the hard drive in non-clean environment is really a bad idea what is more you have power it up.

you should send it to a DR company to check if there is some hope left for it.
