 Post subject: External Mac Drive Unlocking Problem

we got an Element 1TB drive from customer stating that he locked the hard drive under Mac disk utility and now password is not working. Customer is sure about the correct password. we have image the external drive to another external drive and trying to unlock it with the provided password with no luck.

any hint will be highly appreciated.

There is no password for Elements only Passport

drive was locked under Mac > Disk Utility not with smartware

yes, it is filevault encrypted drive, customer has correct password but its not working.
