For replacement purpose, do you have any recommendations on mSATA interface based SSD, it's brand and specific model?

Required Capacity: 256GB

While it wasn't a documented, or a "fanboy hipster" benchmark test with pretty graphs and numbers up the wazoo.. I tested a Samsung PM851 and found it not very good, IIRC it was the strange variation in transfer speeds and seemed to lag sometimes.

you might want to checkout http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/

I stress though my answer would be "doesn't matter really, as long as it is reported to have decent transfer speeds and seem to not have bad reviews.. AND you employ a good backup strategy"

Backup Strategy will be definitely continued by the user. The user sent me his SSD, SAMSUNG PM851 that's got inaccessible, data retrieved and he is asking by which one he should replace in his laptop.

So far, I've searched 2 models, I would be happy to hear your feedback... Will be happy to specify your recommendations.

1. SanDisk Ultra II mSATA 256GB - http://www.amazon.com/SanDisk-Ultra-mSA ... +SSD+256gb

2. Transcend mSATA 256GB - TS256GMSA370 - http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-256GB-M ... 256GMSA370

you have a choice of a Marvell controller in the Sandisk, and a Transcend branded Silicon Motion controller in the Transcend.
Choice between Micron NAND and Sandisk... I don't know.. The Transcend is likely recoverable after a failure - The Sandisk maybe, but have not seen one with Marvell done yet.

I would probably get the Sandisk, but have not a lot of data to backup the choice, mainly a gut feeling. I think either is fine
