I need to replace a dying 4 TB drive - Performance isn't a huge issue as it will just be mainly for storing video footage, which I will sometimes use to edit from but I do want something fairly reliable.

I'm looking at the WD blue or Seagate, any advice?

If you only give to choose between WD blue and ST of course my choice will be WD but it's not because I would recommend it, it's just because I would strongly recommend NOT TO buy a ST, of course this is my personal humble opinion.

Personally, I wouldn't buy either brand.

i would not buy a DM Series Seagate Drive, WD is better if you compare with this.
