 Post subject: HGST 6TB password .

Hi drs .hope you all well. I have received a HDD Model# HUS726060ALE610 made in Thailand ,Nov 2014.Its 6TB desktop drive. The drive is Locked and i am unable to recover data from it . I tried my best to access the NV-RAM but i guess there is no support .if anyone knows the solution of this series and like to share some steps ,it will be appreciated . :) thanks

you can use PC3000 remove password then data recovery and wish you success

There is no NVRAM on this drive, it has different firmware architecture and it is not yet supported by any commercial tools that would be able to remove the password

I have PC3K but this model is not supporting or maybe i am doing some mistake with it . if you have some tips or hints to guide me , it will be appreciated

Exactly ! I have sent my upper reply before i read Doomer's Comment . Yes there is no Support yet in any commercial tool. Doomer can you tell me please ? which kind of Architecture is there in these kind of new Hitachi ? And how will we handle them in future for recovery ?
