Hi
I am working on following Seagate SSHD --- It has no Spin.

Family -- Laptop Thin SSHD
Model -- ST500LM000 5400 RPM
Firmware -- DEM9

It has no Spin. Terminal shows following -
ALFRecorder:
ReadJournalLog
ReadJournalLog
ReadJournalLog
ReadJournalLog
ReadJournalLog
ReadJournalLog
ReadJournalLog
ReadJournalLog

in several cases similar symptoms are observed , It seems Nand part is not having connection with hdd. It might have 2 roms.
This disk remains busy with no spin.
Unfortunately pc3k does not support SSHD.
I have selected julius1 family & tried to read rom , 1 MB rom can be read. So this may ruled out pcb issue ( don't know exactly whether this is true)

Can someone suggest way out. Whether by disabling flash part access to hdd can be established .
DIsk is not coming to terminal.
I am attaching ROM for diagnostics. I will prefer if someone could solve this case remotely.

There are very few peoples who have worked on SSHD. This model is not supported by ace . How to disable flash is big question

It goes like this ---

It was clear issue is due to broken communication between flash and hdd.
We copied both patient and Donor rom first.
Then written patient rom on donor pcb.
Disk was detected under julius1 family in Seagate utility.
CAP RAP SAP flags were put off and then after next power on cycle disk was detected like any normal disk with full access to HDD part only.
Here is some complexity. Customer has written data on flash part as well ( flash part is very small only 3gb in size)
Unfortunately flahs partition is missing alongwith crucial data.
We are working to solve this issue now and to make flash appear.
I cant send PM due to some technical issue. Pls. excuse. However I will post update on flash part as well.
If anyone has some experience to share , pls. share which will be useful to all

Can someone pls. explain me how flash and hdd parts are attached. I am unable to trace flash part .Customer has kept all required data in flash only. ( 2GB - 3 GB in size only)
Is flash used as cache / buffer or as actually a non volatile storage,
