recover from wd32000aakx

i have a wd3200aakx with elettronic damaged ( SMOOTH L7251 chip burned ). i replace this with another elettronic with same pn: 2060-771640-003 rev A and swap U12 rom. drive spin but after same second motor stop and never recognized ( donor eletrtonic works, if i put again on donor disk works) .maybe rom chip is damaged?, any advice?

Maybe pre-amp is affected or burnt too. Sadly, if that is the situation you have to change heads.

i suggest you try another pcb first before you replace heads or open hdd
in many cases new pcb have internal damage in mcu or have bad smooth ic
so it cliking even hdd is good

if other pcb make same error
so no way you must replace heads

already try 2 pcb, 1 from donor disk and one from our stock. try with head as last chance...

update, replae head from donor driver, data recovery complete 100%, thanks to all
