You provided an actual picture of the 4TB source drive. But you only provided pictures of the box for the 5TB destination drive. The box means nothing. Only pictures of the actual drive are useful, or at least the enclosure.

And you need to provide the information that was asked for in the previous post. Output from fdisk -lu, and SMART status of the 5TB drive, in the same format you provided it for the 4TB drive in the beginning of this thread.

We will await more useful information from you.

Not so fast
Below is attached a picture of an HDD sold by the ....... Chinese on aliexpress claims to be a 2TB Samsung HDD
(Came to me because the owner claimed that's showing raw 1.8TiB, trying to repartition the drive it shows only 55GiB.)
Opening the enclosure I couldn't stop laughing, they actually even bothered to print a nice label (2)


To check what HDD it really is...

Well, seems you have a 1.5TB hard disk. If that one came from the 5TB enclosure, take it to the seller and complain to him.

As for your cloning, get a real SATA 4TB or 5TB disk ( if possibly, not Seagate ) then you can continue.

Oh, please, post a picture of the label of the 5TB->1.5TB drive.

Also, please provide the full output of fdisk -l, with both hard disks connected to the machine.

Well, if that is the disk that was inside the 5TB box, you were duped. Have you paid around R$ 700 - R$ 900 for that disk ? or have you paid much less ?

If the thing was cheap, it is a fake. If you got it as a gift, maybe some friend fixed a broken one with some hdd they had and gave it to you.

Either way, for cloning that 4TB disk , you need a 4TB one ( or bigger ) . Until you get one of those, nothing can be done.

If you need the data in the 4TB disk , better take it to a data recovery firm than risk working with the original disk withou a copy..

OK. The HDD was a used gift.

I will get a 5 tb hd and I will post the results as soon as I can.
