Hello,

I have here an SSD of subject, for which i need a donor. Does anybody have such thing nearby?
I noticed Adata supplied SU650 drives with at least 3 types of boards, i was able to source the other 2 :D
The chassis is slightly different for all 3, the most probable identifier for this type is the tectangular corners (the other 2 has round ones).

Thanks,
pepe

It looks very similar to a friend's SSD, only his had a bad controller. Would that still be OK?

Hello Franc,

I also suspect a bad controller, all the supplies look like doing their job, the oscillator is running and there is absolutely no communication on the nand bus.
Sata regs are busted too.
It cannot be started in safe mode either, so it is definitely not a NAND issue.

So i won't be much further with one having the same problem i think :)
but thanks anyway.

Hello,

Finally i got another one in, which i was able to recover (most of it) with pc3k. I also tinkered into its firmware a bit and saw that one of the flash channels is bsy although i could not yet identify the signals on the thing.
swapped the controller and got the very same result, so the channel problem is not within the SM.
so i need to find out why it is busy, but i'm afraid my odds are not too good, suspecting one of the NANDs...

pepe
