 Post subject: Digital stethoscope to identify disk vibrations

Ordinary Doctors stethoscope can amplify faint sound coming from disk but is there any device which will pick up vibrations /sound and create digital graph so that we will instantly identify what is happening inside.
Has anyone done any expriements ? More advanced version of this tool mau measure RPM like slow spin /full spin etc.

I have used my wife's digital stethoscope on a number of drives and it seems to work rather well. The one she has is Duo ECG + Digital Stethoscope (pairs with IOS and Andriod). The app is cool and produces some nice graphs. She bought it because of the sound amplification. Works well in a noisy hospital. Works well on HDD too. :-)

This might solve the purpose with great accuracy ,unfortunately it is too costly ($350 )
