Hi there,

We try to get data of an WD "MyBook" 1TB HDD.
What has been done so far?

- Attached with original WD MyBook Adapter
- Attached directly with SATA
- Attached with Delock Adapter

- Disk shows up in diskmanager
- Disk can not be initialized (CRC Problem)
- No Partition found. Not even a RAW partition

- Testdisk, photorec and DDRescue on Linux mint have no chance.
- WinHEX also only reads bad sectors.

- See Video of the behavior of the R/W Head in Disk here:
http://argient-designs.ch/hdd/hdd-problem.mp4
From 0:25-to infinity it is searching for data.

Is there anything we forgot to do? Or is this the end of the story?
Thank you very much for your help.

Sorry but you should never power a disk without lid and you should never open a drive outside a clean environment. If you want to recover data, your only option is a Pro Data Lab.
