Hello
WD BLUE 2TB 3.5 SATA (WD20EZAZ) on Desktop – Windows 10
** not detected in BIOS **
Lite use

I was copying some files from an Android phone but because it was taking so much time, I tried to cancel the process but someone unplugged the phone while the cancelling procedure had not been completed.
Windows crashed and the drive is not detected in the BIOS since then. The disk powers up and I believe it spins but it makes double clicking noise every 50 or 60 seconds.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Would you please elaborate on that?
It is still under warranty, but I have to recover the data myself.
Any solutions?

contact a reputable pro in your area. You won't be able to do it yourself.
where are you located?

Does data recovery require special (hardware) equipment?
I can't give the HDD to someone else. I need to recover the data first.

you are pretty much screwed then. You can buy HW if you are really hardcore but you would be more dangerous with hw in hands with no knowledge.

Check out PC3000 or MRT Lab.

Sometimes, it only requires perfect timing and tweezers to give the drive a temporary access to UA.

This case is something it will be hard for you to do, cause you don't have the correct equipment. And after you get the tools you will need to learn to use them and that takes time. Try to send to a DR lab if the data is really imporant.

What if someone lives in a country where he/she can get executed or long jail sentences just for having videos of people peacefully protesting in the streets on his/her HDD?
