Hello,

I have an unusual question.

Normally, there are plenty of interfaces on the market that allow you to connect, for example, a SATA drive to a USB port on a computer.
I'm looking for the exact opposite solution.
My question - how to connect e.g. a USB pendrive to a SATA controller on a computer.
Is this even possible?

Thank you in advance for any tips and suggestions.

There are adapters from Dolphin for example but as i tested them they give garbage data.
Why do you want to connect a pendrive via SATA?

I can't help but envision a new fake 16TB WD 3.5" SATA hard drive coming out with a 32GB USB flash drive and a couple of bolts replaceing the platters, heads and magnets.

Ideas like the above do not interest me.

I have a flash drive that has physical errors in its file system metadata.
It detects itself for 1-2 seconds and then disconnects itself from the system.
It reads the MBR, then tries to read the file system, encounters an error and says goodbye.
I don't want to mess with chip-off - I need a relatively full file system.
I can't turn off autodetection under Win 7/10/11.
I need to connect to DE (via SATA or ATA) and map the file system
I'm looking simple solutions...

You can do it over USB with PC3000 with PC USB PWR adapter. Works quite good.

Unfortunately, the procedures from the link above do not work (I checked under W7 and W10).
These procedures do not work on a working pendrive either.
Can anyone help me ?

Thanks

fzabkar, maybe you can advise me something.
You have electronics at your little finger... :)

The case I am describing allows me to suspect that there may also be a problem with the electronics of this pendrive.
Well, apart from this pendrive, there is another identical pendrive - both broke down at the same time and were used in the same laptop.
And they behave the same - the same symptoms.
Maybe there is some problem on the PCB (other than NAND).
I'm sending photos.
Thank you in advance for your help.
