the Health Status results are shown in Cristaldiskinfo enough to determine whether an HDD is good or bad without the need for a long scan?

SMART in crystaldiskinfo does not perform any surface scan, it shows OK health but a surface scan with HD tune found some red blocks then I performed a new test with HD Tune without unclosure case usb 3.0 using only a USB/Sata adapter and it did not find any red blocks
