While back I got this FUJITSU MHZ2160BK G2 (DELL OEM) drive. After confirming everything looked fine I went to power it on. Sadly, it didn't even spin up. No life at all. Checked to see if I could feel anything get warm/hot. Fortunately (and maybe unfortunately) nothing was getting warm. Protection diodes also are fine. Due to my limited knowledge with Fujitsu's I decided to ask on this forum for help.

Check the fuse near the SATA power connector.

In diode mode I measure 1.618mV on all the thermal (?) fuses.

Can you show us these fuses on a photo of the PCB?

Full picture of the PCB. Those white fuses should be the thermal/thermic fuses, correct? Theres also a broken resistor, but it looks like its only connecting GND

If you are referring to those 3 white shock sensors, then you would be best advised to outsource this job.

Thanks for correcting me. It looks like the fuse on mine is blown. Wierd how it looked like an resistor, although it had bulged. Any ideas what type it might be? Cause the worst case scenario if I bypass it the whole board is gonna be fried, right?

These fuses often fail due to age-related fatigue. Check that there is no short circuit to ground. You can replace the fuse with a 2A fast type.

Replaced it with an 0 ohm resistor and it works! Sort of... It isn't detected and is clicking (even only the PCB isn't). Opened it up cause whats here to lose and no damage to top platter. I do wonder if its the head or SA damage.
