Yes I did and that's why I'm on a quite old computer connected through standard IDE port not through USB adapter!

I've even tried with the original COMPAQ XEROX 386 computer with DOS debug mode asking int 013h.

For the moment, I'm waiting fo the new hdd, I will test it first. Then if everything is OK try to exchange platters...
