Hello, I want to ask a question about my HDD problem.

I have Samsung s2 portable 2010-04 (HM502JX Samsung PCB BF41-00282A) and PCB card it is not working. I sent it to data recover company. I was there while they working. I saw that they changed PCB to SATA PCB, then plug in and read Head 0, Head 1, and Head2 sectors. He got backup those hexadecimal files. After that he wrote a another hex files to head 0 and head 1. After that he could not read any data from disk. He has been used "MRT" applications to write data to HDD.

He could not read data from Head 0 and Head 1 that he wrote another hexadecimal files in there. I am wondering that is it possible to write original head 0's and head 1's data to HDD in some way? If it is how can I do?

I must get my photos which just memories about my family who passed away and those are priceless for me.

I just want to write original files to HDD and find working PCB(or change bios to another PCB) then plug and get my data.

I would be very happy if someone show me a way.

I think there may be something lost in translation, but I assume by what you've said the tech disabled Head #0 & H#1?

Aside from the technical reasons on why this is not possible, I'm not sure you'd be able to recover data without restoring function to H0 and H1. If they've got the ability to turn on / off heads in ROM you'd think they'd change the heads?

There is more information needed to provide you advice / suggest another route.

The only way i can think of handling this case is to get the backup they made and let a pro do it. Currently the drive is in an unknown state, i would not get into this if not on my table.
You can't just do it any better than they did, though i understand you pretty much lost your trust in dr shops :s

As I saw, he copied working head0 and head1(some of files that was starting with 73 i guess) data into my disc, then he put working disc to computer and do sleep disc. Then removed PCB from working disc, plugged it into my disc and tried to woke up but not worked.

You are right, probably i am gonna do it.

By the way, I can swap BIOS into another PCB it is not a problem (my friend's job is this). In that case, can I some things to do that get work? Includes, with soldering to make RX/TX. Besides, I could not find schema for that PCB, how can I find it?
