Samsung Evo 850 SATA SSD. Electronics seems ok so far. File system NTFS. Connected to deepspar stabilizer, the SSD gives ID, correct size and SN, but it is not recognized in Rstudio, UFS, hxd. Even with the stabilizer the tools and the system hang, until shut off. Smart cannot be read. According to the Ace lab blog, it looks like the SSD and its controller are not included in the tools. Does it even make sense to send the disk in to recover it with pc-3000?

Any chance or is it already game over?

best regards
Elvis

If you need small files, say documents, I can restore them.

First, have you considered examining the SATA connector pins and possibly re-soldering them?

If no, the first thing I would do is opening the case, checking if one of the fixing metal pads at left and right of the SATA connnector was possibly lifted up as desoldered, resolder it if necessary and tin again the pins.

Secondly, are you certain that other connections tight enough and working perfectly?

Make sure that the connection from the SATA connector to the SATA socket is perfect.
If necessary, add some adhesive on the back of the male SATA connector to make it thicker.

If you are using a SATA to USB adapter, make sure that the female socket is tight enough. If necesary, use pliers to make it tighter.
Make also sure that your USB cable is working perfectly. Possibly try another cable.
Make sure that the alignment of the your USB cable with the female socket is perfect ; a small angle laterally can make the connection make the connection ineffective.
Also check usb sockets for excessive wear, at both the computer and the Deepspar Stabilizer.

With which operating system(s) did you attempted accessing the drive?
