Quick backstory:

Had a system with Windows Server on it and 6 hard drives - eventually I was doing some renovations in the office space, and decided I wanted to re-do the system and avoid it being near the work being done. So I just ran my basic stuff off a small spare PC in the meantime, and put the system in another room.

After everything was completed, I moved the hardware to a new case then re-setup the system with Unraid. However, of the 6 drives, only 5 powered on, so I continued formatting them and putting them in the array. There were never any SMART signs of issues on Windows Server, and the system/drives didn't sustain any physical issues while moved or stored.

The drive in question is an 8TB IronWolf Pro - ST8000NE001

After researching a bit, I've gone through some of the simple troubleshooting, changing PSUs, trying different cables, different ports, etc... but as it stands, the rest of the drives are fine and just this one randomly doesn't spin up anymore.

Is there anything I should try or test? I have soldering tools, multimeter etc... I've swapped ROM before to rescue other drives; wondering if this is just a dead PCB and I'd have to grab a replacement board and swap the BIOS?

Given the price of drives these days, hoping it's a simple fix and not a full replacement. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you do this?

Warning: do not interchange modular PSU cables:

No, I used a spare cable from the same modular PSU. And the other PSU I tried was a non-modular one.

Show us a photo of the PCB.

Can you measure the indicated Vn voltages and the input and output voltages of the 5V and 12V e-fuses?

E-fuse datasheets:

https://www.mouser.com/ds/2/277/MP5000S_r1.0-371509.pdf

As an aside, you can see the same pick-and-place anomaly for the same inductor on 3 different PCBs. This makes me wonder whether there was an error in the CNC programming.

Can you zoom up the crystal at the bottom right corner of the MCU? It looks like the top has detached from it.

I notice that the casting impression in the thermal pad on the motor controller IC is slightly offset. Perhaps the original PCB design was correctly centred and your PCB is a subsequent iteration that was deemed to be close enough?
