I would like eliminate bad and read and brown blocks on my hd!!!
I read mhdd manual and faq, and first of all i have backup my data:
Q10: How can I fix delays on my HDD (red and brown blocks)?
A: Use erase, then scan+erase waits, then scan+remap.
BTW, after performing what faq 10 tell, all weak block are still present, so I would like to know if does exist a software who is able in mapping as defective these weak sectors, so OS no longer will try to access them.
I have also try Victoria 3.2 (the only english version I'm able in understanding) enabling defectoscope, but the result is the same: weak block are still present.
So I have try spinrite 6, but the full analisys tell me that all is ok!!!
Many help please!
I accept both freeware or commercial software, but not pc300.... it is too much for me.
Other question: I have found in MHDD many options that are NOT documented in manual and faq, where may I found these info?

Try with using advanced or Fujitsu remap which you can find in Victoria. I had similar problem with Maxtor *LO. Bunch of BS/BB. After remapping with Victoria and checking with SpinRite #4, on that HDD I've already had installed three OS', and now is storage drive.

Fijitsu Remap can never fix red brown blocks . Try using any powerfull lowlevel format tool. and tell me which brand hdd u want to fix .

It is a maxtor 80 gb, I even try to low level format with Powermax, but the result is always the same: red and brown block always appears!!!
Does exist an utility able in marking as bad a sector if it does not answer in xxx ms?

Seagate, Maxtor, Fujitsu, Toshiba and WD can't solve this problem.
So I think the solution cannot be found here.

The MHDD faq has some information about repairing these sectors, and i am sure you can find other software on the net if you look hard enough, but in my opinion once your hard drive has started going bad its time to save any important data and replace it before you end up spending your hard earned money getting it recovered elsewhere!

Beside green, red & browns, there are other, more significant indications that your drive is failling. Under MHDD, use command F8 (SMART), and look for "Reallocated Sector Count". Because you used MHDD, there is said that everything above 50 is bad. If it is above 50, listen hddguy's advice.
With PC3000 is possible to fix problem, but you said

Self Scan is a feature of Pc3000 it can be found no where except in pc3k .

Hi!!
I finally found a way to avoid OS get access to weak sector:
run a scansion with victoria/defectoscope, a file with all these weak sectors wil be generate, print it
now run mhdd and with the command makebad, mark as bad sector all these weak sector.
now switch to window, perform a re-partition and a full (not a quick) format: now scandisk wil tell you that you have bad block, and from now OS no longer will get acces to these annoying weak sector!!!!

A prayer to the auther of mhdd:
Is it possible getting a version of makebad who take input from a text file instead of manually inserting every single bad sector?
