Hello buddies, I need your help, a few time ago, I had to format a computer, to save my data, I did a bakcup in an external HD Maxtor OneTouchII USB, but, when I finished of reinstall all the OS and the drivers of the computer, the HD doesnt work!!!, Windows just recognize "USB Device" but dont show me a new drive found.
In this external HD, I have around 70 Gb of information, and 20 of this 70 are not mine!, I had seek information about recovery of disk, and i had try with GetDataBack, but doesnt recognize the drive...
Can you help me to recover my information? please... im dessperate... thanks. :(

Hi,

First U should take the drive itself out of the USB enclosure and connect to the PC using its IDE interface to see what is reported by the drive.
(wether BIOS can detect it and the correct model number is shown).

Hi,
Yes you have to open it. But this mean that probably will loose the guarantee.
