if you mean that the ic on head is bad i tink it maybe bad and may not as when i try other pcb of similar type and let me explain to you all the problem here in egypt most of hdd wd800bb 00jhc0 with pcb 2060-701292-002 burnes the power ic or most of pcb and wd800bb 00jha0 with pcb 2060-001292-000 dosent burn much like the first one we use the jha0 pcb insted of the burned one of jhc0 we switch rom and all things is good but still the bios recognize the hdd as sabre not 00jhc0 so we asked all says you must change the ic or all pcb and as the pcb of 00jha0 worked on 00jhc0 but with not perfect at least the hdd head works good this means that the ic is not burned on head any way when we change the ic on the original board it burnes again some one told us may be short road in pcb but we measured every thing and all good so that i want the data sheet to measure ics on pcb

final question is too important to me i want to know where is files of firmware of wd800bb i know that half of it on rom that i switch when change pcb but the rest is it on cpu or on ic on head?
and that i think to malke pcb of 00jha0 with serial 2060-001292-000 work as 2060-701292-002 as they have same power circut but diferent firmware so if the rest is on cpu i will switch it with rom

Did u change the ROM chip from the bad pcb to good pcb ?
Then replace bad pcb with good pcb.

I had the same problem but the hdd show WD Mamoth i changed pcb the hdd
the hdd start clicking then on the good pcb i changed the ROM of bad pcb the drive is now working fine .

what i want is change burned pcb 2060-70129
2-002 with good 2060-001292-000 and this what i do
1- i change the rom from bad pcb to good pcb
2- i switch the pcbs but still hdd read as sabre or mamoth

and what i want is change 701292-002 with 001292-000 and get right firmware in bios so that i was asking is there any thing other rom i must move from bad pcb to the good one to get right firmware

If ur hdd has power and has WD Mammoth problem only thing to do is dont change PCB just change the ROM chip on the orignal PCB that worked for me .
