What's the drive you're talking about and how do you know you have the serial rom corrupted?

WD. I was working on it. disk stared working fine I cloned the disk. when i copied data from cloned hard disk it was displaying garbage. altough raw recovery give me good results but client want it with file name. so I again plugged the disk in the pc3000 card and it has again started showing me its factory alies. I have copied the previous rom when it was showing factory alies and when it started showing correctly. I just copied the second ( when displaing correct model) after that disk is not powering up. This happend only after coping ROM i am searching for the same IC but I want to flash it so needed guidence . If you want you can PM me
