Hi,

this drive had a burnt PCB, preamp, do the heads were swapped. Now it is detected correctly after a while, I can read the data surface, but it hangs at various places and sometimes it reads from some different LBA without any error message (when I re-read the same sector, the content is different, and correct).

seems like head 0 lose the servo sometimes.
What is the f/w version, and serial number?

hi pepe,
Seems bad sectors in SA ..and also seems head Can not read surface properlly..may be smoke or dust there..?
Check all defectlist are they ok?

From serial Number it have 4 head. there is two type of serial number for 4 head, the others one is begin with XLJXXXXX.
How about your donor Drive . is it have same serial name begin with XJSXXXXX

Hi,

I have tried 2 donors, both has been opened previously, so I am not sure about the heads, but both were more or less working drives. One had JS and the other had LJ in the SN.
I will try a JS from a fully working drive...
