First of all, need permission from admin about this post
( if admin feel this is not the right way, you can delete this post.. , no hard feeling, I just need some review about salvation products ).

I'm planning to buy Salvation Seagate Repairer Pro, before that, I need some comment about this stuff ( positive or negative is welcome )
as I know, salvation soon will announce their windows ver. of seagate repairer pro. Should I wait for the new version ? or the usabilities will just the same as a DOS ver ?

I too would like some feedback on this product.

I also thinking to buy, maybe.

Preferable feedback from someone who is NOT affiliated with Salvation (i.e. not Laura, Davis Tan or hddguy!!!)

I dont think SalvationData should be compared to PC3000 because PC3000 is generic for most hard disks, but Salvation Data have individual software for individual drives. I think if you bought all software from salvation data (Western digitial, Seagate, Maxtor...) ill bet the cost is almost same as PC3000

I didn't tried Salvage data, but I tried Stellar Phoenix NTFS data recovery software. Cost me 79$ and found it quite easy to use which examines our inaccessible hard drive for damages and corruption's and recover the data back.

if u didnt used salvationdata thats why u dont know about details..
well u said for steller is work with inaccessible hard drive for damages and corruption's sometime due to badsector drive will be inaccessible but this type of problem can solve any good software.. but if harddisk firmware courrupted show 0-mb ot model will be corrupted due to firmware bad or badsector in service area i know that steller didnt work in that case..

Hi just a suggestion,for Salvationlaura, since most of us use PC3000, and Salvation crew like posting here also.

I could see how using a point & click interface instead of direct com commands ( in some cases) with PC3000 would be very useful, especially to people starting in DR. I myself find that some terminal use is hard to understand.

Why doesn't Salvation offer 1 free or a Demo repair facility that works through com cable, to show how well it works, like the 541 maxtor.

It would be worth it for $400.00 even if it only worked for some drives as you could monitor the com port to view the commands used. this would help to understand the ATA commands for seagate, and the firmware structure, and how it works. For the amount of time I have spent reading & researching for these drives, ( and the little I now comprehend) this would be worth it.

Dear All;

I have use Seagate Repairer Pro, It is very simple, easy to use, good for repair badsector, FW corruption and cheap. It is more better if salvation provide forum for customer.

I know PC3000 PCI more powerful but the price is powerful too. It is more better if acelab sale with lower price.
