Doesn't look very clean to me - look at all those fingerprints by the door handle and switches!

Someone needs to get in there with some Mr Muscle...

These big clean rooms are useless for data recovery.
Clean cabinets are much cheaper, more efficient and more convinient

Pure propaganda and marketing. There is absolute no need for a setup like this. This could be a photo from any pharmaceutical installation, it's simply a door and air lock mechanism. All that is needed is a class 100 flow hood which most big DR companies use.

In fact, when you go to a clean room, you have to wear gloves and uniform.

Maybe you think a cleanroom is useless for data recovery. But, remember this in your mind: Be responsible for those clients who put their trust on you.

If I put some BWM cars picutures here, you guy will say, oh, it's no use for helping you go farther, I can ride a bicycle.

In order to fully kit out a lab of class 1 quality including appropriate extraction fans and flooring, you are looking at WELL over $25k. Again, you are misleading your customers if you think you need a setup like and i'm sure you are charging them handsomely for the myth. We use Nuaire (or similar) flow hoods, like most reputable DR companies. Your point about the BMW is nonsense. In order to do a headswap on most drives, the drive only needs to be open for less than 10 to 15 minutes max. Once you are wearing cleanroom gloves and masking, with proper airflow, there is no need for an Intel style cleanroom.

This is a perfect example of what happens when people are trying to compensate the lack of knowledge with a very pricy and nice-looking equipment. They buy $20k+ clean rooms because they think they'll increase their success rate.

And all they actually get for the price is confidence and peace of mind.

I hear you! I'm planning on building one from plexiglass (lexan) with glove holes in the front. I'm going to use an 8" fan from a sever blowing air into the cabinet through a hepa filter from a vacuum cleaner, and the tools will go in clean and stay in the box on a tool rack in the side. Total cost will be about $200.00. Basically like a small sandblasting cabinet, running it at positive pressure will keep dust out while it is running. I'll post pictures when it's done.
