Dear Forum,

my seagate barracuda ST3200822AS died without any warning. It is recognized in BIOS but can't boot WindowsXP nor access any data.
Because i wanna try to save some photos i need your help.

If i scan the disk with HDDScan i get a lot of bad blocks with spaces of good blocks between.

Today i connected COM Port to my HDD to get some more info:

I bought a second HDD with nearly same parameters except config and site code to change PCB, but it didn't work at all.

I tried making a image/ clone to the second HDD but due to bad blocks it would take thousands of hours.

What else can i do to recover some data?

If MHDD or another soft show XXXXXXXXXXXXXX then good block another XXXXXXXXXXXX and so so, maybe u have a Bad or weak Head.
