I've got an IC25N0880ATMR04-0 with a bad HDA. It's a popular drive, but I haven't found the right MLC and PN in the past 3 months. The P/N is 0A24704 and the MLC is H69555. I have found tons of 08K0635 and 08xxxxx, but only one 0A24704 (On Ebay, but I was outbid). So, has anyone been there? Anyone try a HDA from a drive with a different PN?

What do you need to do?

Replace the heads?

I've replaced many heads without matching P/N, sometimes not even matching MLC and it's worked!

Yes, trying to replace the heads.
That's what I wanted to know :) I'm guessing the MLC is more important? Country? Is your success rate good without matching P/N and MLC?

forget MLC and even when you have done many head changes maybe you
learn that you can even forget ATMR and try HTS54080 -

best results for HTS54080 is to use ATMR heads... try it

Hi Coffeebean,

I use atmr heads in HTS 5480xx too, but to my surprise it often turns out that one head reads very slow. The theads were taken from perfectly working ATMR40 and used in HTS548040, but either H0 or H1 was slow...
any idea?

regards,
pepe

Hi,
ATMR80 has 4 heads that's for sure. There is some other mistake.
