HDS722516VLAT20 Strange problem (NVRAM?)

Hi all, got a VLAT 160Gb drive here.

Was dropped, so was knocking. Changed heads and now sounds OK.

But will not ID. But can enter family manually and read SA.

Hi sean

See that head initializes properly I mean when you try to access data it should not stop on the media. I was having the same problem. I changed the head disk detected ok every module was ok. but when i try to access data head comes till center of media and then return back. as it was happening due to media damage.

I doubt for the same in your case. All the best

No, heads are OK.

Anyway, I fixed it now (in last 10 minutes).

Was NV-RAM corruption. Made new NV-RAM from image module in SA.

Now working fine. (So far!!)
