 Post subject: 7200.10 missing chip

I have a Seagate 300gb IDE 7200.10. one of the chips is scraped off. I'm hoping someone can tell me if its the firmware chip or the voltage regulator from the picture. Thanks, Ben

Hi,

That's a part of a DC-DC converter. There are also missing some capacitors and an inductor nearby.
The Flash ROM is the one near the jumper connector (it is usually a 25P10 or 25FV512).
